FPVFC VP of Governmental Affairs

I grew up with technology as a core part of my life. My Aunt sent us a computer when I was about to turn 6. I spent most of my time on that computer, and that drive to learn more about computers and technology carried through my entire life.

I chose not to go to college based on advice and observation, and after 4 years of running a Pizza Place, I moved to Colorado to find some better work. Soon after moving I went to work with a friend and started trimming cannabis professionally. Since this was the start of Recreational Legalization, I was quickly propelled into a career and worked my way up a struggling 7-figure company, performing almost every role in the grow warehouse.

Some of my favorite roles were learning to do HVAC work on the job, vetting new technologies for viability in the business, and managing compliance to the law. As compliance officer, I would do inspections of all of our facilities and train staff with in-house training courses I built. I also worked heavily with local and state governments and with the Marjiuana Enforcement Division, to help them learn how we did our jobs and what proper compliance should look like to not be unreasonable on the stakeholders.

Eventually I was promoted to Director of Operations, where I helped bring the company to 8 figures and build a solid cannabis brand. Once the operations were settled and we ran out of fires to put out, I left and said my goodbyes to find something new to do.

I got into FPV and R/C in general, in Christmas 2019, after watching a video from Rotor Riot where they hung gates from Drones and flew through them with other drones. Once I started, I rapidly learned as much as possible about the hobby in every aspect that I could. I found that I was able to use many of the skills I learned on the job doing HVAC controls work, to help jump start my progress in the FPV Hobby.

After making a couple of videos where I was on camera, Joshua Bardwell reached out to me and we started doing New Product Roundup videos together, and then shortly after, we started a new weekly stream, the FPV News.

Now with the FPV Freedom Coalition, I plan to use my gained experiences, governmental affairs skills, networks of contacts, and passion for progress and representation of Recreational Users, to push forward the Recreational Drone Industry in a positive way.
